Selvage denim what? This is hotness! Found over on High Snobiety.
The beauty of it all is that an exposed selvage lining on the midsole can only be achieved through a D.I.Y. process due to the nature of the denim and the sneaker panel curves. It is a very tedious process.
You know what that means, right kids? Expensive! (And probably stupidly limited too. (Not that I need new kicks.))
I'm entirely too brain dead to write anything besides this sentence (and maybe a few incomplete sentences following this). Here, have some pictures:
... what has been occupying the professional-side of my mind for the last week and a half. No, not The Shocker, but GTA, dork.
... the homies! AKA "I'm still tight with folks from high school." Also, I need a hair cut.
... this caught my eye while grocery shopping.
... this caught my eye (and almost blinded me) while at another denim warehouse sale today. What the hell, Ed Hardy?!
... Neeeeeeeeeeew kicks! I'm on a mission to have all of my sneakers have patterns on them.
Happy birthday, Judy! WOOOO!
I'm trying to insert more color into my wardrobe after spending a few months stuck in monochromatic grey/black land. What better way to do that than by buying some ridiculously colorful kicks?
The best part of these shoes is that, technically, they really do go with everything. Look, there's pink, black, yellow, dark blue, brown and grey all in one conveniently packaged piece of footwear. Saucy!
People will want to wear sunglasses around me with all the color I plan on wearing together with these things. At night, even.
I can already see some of y'all looking at these going, "What the hell, man, WHAT THE HELL?" I love it!
Show us something that tastes great.
A good friend of mine celebrated his 30th birthday recently and his girlfriend threw him a surprise party on Sunday. This was a chocolate cake with fresh strawberries and bananas and a whipped cream topping. Aww yeah. Another reason why this cake tasted great? There were mini Nikes on it. So what if you couldn't eat them?
While waiting for the (laggin' ass) birthday boy to arrive, I realized that I had originally met him through Mixture.com. Holy moly. Mixture was the first ever social networking site I ever signed up for. Pre-MySpace, pre-Friendster, it had a bunch of Asian kids on it from California and they used to cover import car shows! Back in 1999-2000, it was all about Mixture!
Happy 30th, Tone Def!
