Fanime in a nutshell
Safety-pinned my way through Vampire Knight, Persona 3, LoveCom and Ibara. Is it weird that the only way I get spend quality time with some people at conventions is if I have cosplay plans with them? Resolution to that problem: I need to get into BLEACH. Or Avatar. Or Utena. Or...
I imagine there will some interesting/funny/epic/retarded photos thanks to Sho-you-right, Zigadocious and eye360 J.Son. Looking forward to seeing them, fellas!
AnCafe was a disappointment. I generally go into con-related concerts with an open a mind as possible, but between the flatness of their sound tech to their uninspired songwriting nothing really grabbed me. Cristina and I did do a stupid amount of coordinated furitsuke, though, so that made up for it slightly. In complete contrast, Ramen & Rice were lovely!
Had a couple of panels with my HCC girls that had more-than-we-expected attendance. I was pretty tired by the time our panel time had come around and I was half-joking with the girls that maybe no one would show up so we could just sit around and shoot the shit for a couple of hours. And then we were greeted by a line of people at the door waiting to get in. So much for that idea! Hopefully we were informative and slightly entertaining!
An epic photoshoot of even more epic sketchiness was had on Monday morning where I got to play stylist. I have one behind-the-scenes picture from that shoot which I'm sure I'll be mauled for if I posted, so I'll keep it to myself and look at it whenever I need a giggle (or outright laugh).
There were many of you I didn't get to see enough and a few of you who I'm glad I got to spend more time with and I'm thankful for that. I'm still a little tired from the weekend, and regardless of my feelings of archaicness (totally a word, I swear) through the weekend and being told repeatedly that I had "lost the game" I'm so glad to have seen you all and I hope it won't be long before it happens again!
